If you are looking for a 2-3 hour Kayak try Perry Lake in Kearney and paddle up the Magnetawan River for a small trip. Head back into Kearney after you are finished and park at the Kearney dock and go to the Bistro for lunch or walk over to Larry's for homemade fries.
Downtown Kearney is a pretty town with stores and restaurants.
If you want to make it a longer Kayak you can spend the whole day and go as far as Beaver Lake. Right now the fall colors have started so the views are spectacular.
